Screen repairs will depend on the type of breakage: Generally speaking, if we can see the image correctly, it is normal that you have a broken digitizer or touch panel (the outer glass). However, if we see any problem in the image, a line, a dead pixel or the screen is simply black, you will have a display failure.
All new models from most manufacturers have Amoled/Retina screens in which it is impossible to replace only the outer glass and therefore it is necessary to replace the entire screen (lcd + touch) already assembled at the factory.
